What sits here
Lifecycle is the record of what happens to someone after they join: appreciation, transfer, warning, resignation, termination, trip, complaint. Managers use the Lifecycle menu. Employees use My Lifecycle on Self, and only for the items you allow. Salary changes are next door, under Payroll, Increment & Promotion. Leaving the company as a checklist is offboarding.
The same guide is in the product under Lifecycle, then Help & Guide.
Settings
Settings, then Lifecycle.
- General — Default notice days (0 to 180). Switches: Require acknowledgement on warnings, Allow employees to request trips, Allow employees to submit resignations, Allow employees to file complaints, and Require manager approval for trip requests.
- Warning Types, Exit Reasons, Trip Types, Complaint Categories.
Turn a lookup off if you do not use it, rather than deleting history. Award types for appreciations are not on this screen. They are Settings, then Award (Enabled or Disabled).
Appreciations, transfers, and warnings
Appreciations — create one with an award type and a message. It shows on the employee profile. The menu item is Appreciations, fed by Settings, Award.
Transfers — from and to a location and a department, with an effective date. Cancel one that is still pending. The employee sees it under My Lifecycle, Transfers.
Warnings — pick a warning type and a severity, then issue it. If acknowledgement is required, the employee must acknowledge it on My Warnings.
Resignations and terminations
Resignations — resignation date, last working day, exit reason, notice, and the exit-interview status. Close the resignation when offboarding is done. Employees can submit their own only when that General switch is on. They do it from My Lifecycle, Resignations.
Terminations are manager-only: type, effective date, and reason. They never appear on My Lifecycle.
Approving either one can start an offboarding journey when Auto-start on exit approval is on. Letters such as a relieving letter are generated from Letters, not from this screen.
Trips and complaints
Trips — destination, dates, cost, and a trip type. If employees may request them, they use My Trips. If manager approval is required, approve, reject, or mark the trip complete from the manager list.
Complaints — category, priority, and an assignee. Status moves from open, to investigating, to resolved, to closed. Employees file one from My Complaints only when that switch is on.
